NQ Algae Shrimp 'type 2' ( Caridina spp ) .
They eat hair algae, brush algae, most types of string algae, and are one of the few shrimp that will even eat black beard algae when no other food source is available.
Very similar to Aust Amano Shrimp ( they have the tendency to crawl out of tank during the first 24hrs when introduced )
They seem to have settled in well
Nth QLD Algae Shrimp 'Type 2'
I ordered 2 types of shrimp - the nth qld algae eater and the mixed mischlings. They all arrived healthy and packed well. Only issue that bugged me was the size. The nth qld shrimp were listed as 2-3cm, the shrimp I received were significantly smaller than that with only on being about 1.5cm MAX whilst the others were smaller. I had planned to put these in a tank where they needed to be on the bigger side but could not add them as they came in smaller than I had thought and purchased. Other than that the shrimp are healthy and happy
These shrimp arrived alive and well, they are great cleaners of the algae
