The splendid Staurogyne repens is a compact and hardy plant best suited in the foreground. It has relatively large leaves with a bushy demeanour. This plant naturally grows low and can develop a strong root system. Selectively cutting the tallest stems will maintain a carpet like, creeping growth. Regular trimming will force new side shoots and the plant group will be denser as a result.
Tissue culture plants can be kept its sealed container for some time (even weeks) before planting. However it is recommended to use the plants right away as they will be in better health. Keep in a cool place, out of bright light.
