Size - approx 1-1.5cm
The North Qld Algae Shrimp is a very popular and active algae-eating species. They are ravenous eaters, consuming not only most algae, but eat dead plant castoff material (detritus) and clean the tank of leftover food.
They are quite small, averaging between 1-2cm centimeters, making them ideal for a smaller tank. They only resist eating blue-green and green spot algae ( but have known to eat Black Beard Algae when no other food source is available)
It's one of the best all rounder clean up crew
A few didn’t make it. But rest are going well
Shrimp look great. All survived post and got a couple extra too.
Shrimps are so small you can barely see them. Your most tiniest Minnows will eat them. Don't reply to emails either.
So happy with these little guys! Arrived quickly - they are small but I ended up with a couple of extras I'm assuming to make up for their size. All made it here alive and they cleaned up my algae ridden tank within a few days - I'm so impressed. Thanks for some adorable active shrimp!
Happy with service quick delivery. Shrimps were healthy and as advertised, would like a option of having the bigger ones though which I also have from another local supplier about 3cm / 4cm in size.
